I was hoping that I could update this page every week, but by the time I write a story, and attend to the site [plus email, etc], I've run outa time. So take this page as an example of what happens. Hopefully, I'll get time now and then to update it. Meantime, you can CLICK HERE FOR MRB MEMBERS TESTIMONIALS.

Island Palms is a guest house right on the beach at Key Largo, Florida. It's run by two eccentric gays, Harold and Oswald. The permanent tenants include Ralph, a biker, Father O'Malley, a retired catholic priest with a wicked sense of humor, and Nancy, an elderly woman who can't keep her nose out of everyone else's business. The staff includes two teen surfers who do the gardening and pool maintenance, and turn quite a few heads in the process, and a blonde buddy of theirs Steve who waits tables in the dining room dressed only in board shorts. Oh, and there's young Robbie, the cleaning lady's son who helps out on weekends. Apart from that, there's a kaleidoscope of characters that spend a week or two on vacation, so there's always something pretty interesting happening at Island Palms... an ongoing series.

Daniel Meets Luke. I'm just finishing a story about a 14/15 y/o drug addict with innocent - even cute - looks, who manages to con an old guy into believing his lies in order to gain money on a regular basis. The story is based on actual events with which I'm personally familiar, however I've changed the location and introduced Daniel into the story to provide a perspective different to the old guy's. It's quite a twist on the usual sensationalized stuff we read in the newspapers about older people taking advantage of younger people.

The Codeman. For the past few months I've been working on the Captain's [Cody] autobiography, and posting a chapter each day. It's the Captain's story as he told it to me; a collection of emails spanning the last four years of his life, from age 15 to 19. During that period he dealt with suicide, his sexuality, being in love, juggling intimate relationships with male and female friends, surfing, clubbing, studying, partying and generally trying to make sense of life as a teen. The Captain is a guy you just can't help loving. The same applies to his buds. His story will take you through the whole gamut of human emotion. I can promise you that you will never forget the Captain and his family of friends and lovers. As so many of those who were privileged to know him have said, "he taught me what friendship was all about".

Steve. Steve's best friend dies tragically in an auto accident. Steve has already messed around with drugs, but goes on a wild binge after losing his friend. As a consequence, he loses all his remaining friends. His self-esteem plummets to an all time low. He is convinced that his 18-year-old life is not worth living. He reaches out to me via email, and together we work hard to get him back on track. Definitely the most important story I've ever written.

Billy. Billy moves next door to a couple of eccentric old queens after his mother divorces his dad. At first he's homophobic and resents the strange old guys. But that changes when he gets to know them. Another surprise is that he meets a tall, skinny nerd at school whom he reluctantly befriends. It's all enough to confuse the hell outa the poor kid hehe. But it's an amusing and interesting story about opposites dealing with each other's differences.

Kyle's Christmas. A crazy story about Kyle's Christmas. Totally off the wall, but I couldn't resist writing it. :o)

Terry. Terry is thirteen, and a nerd. He hates school, and can't make friends. He doesn't even wanna make friends! But then Jimmy walks into his life and makes a big diff, but nowhere near the diff that Troy makes. Troy is everything Terry admires, so why the hell is Troy interested in a nerd like Terry?

Daniel Meets Joshua. Daniel is getting ready to visit Joshua in Orlando, Florida. Josh works part-time for Disney World, and is willing to show Daniel around. Hmmm. Knowing Josh as I do, I don't think the tour is gonna finish at Disney. And knowing Daniel as I do, I think Josh might be in for a few surprises, too! It also just so happens to be Gay Day at Disney. Hello? I won't say any more cos I don't wanna spoil the story.

Stay tooned!
